Our client widens access to financial advice through leading technology which powers the financial advisory experience. Our clients solutions support over 30,000 financial advisors worldwide, representing over three million end-investors, with over $1 trillion assets services across their platforms.

To support the on-going growth of the business a new opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Specialistto follow up targeted sales campaigns to generate new business qualified leads for the sales team.

As a Business Development Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking incoming sales calls and qualifying accordingly
  • Identifying and engaging decision makers
  • Generating appointments for Sales Executives and working closely with the wider sales team
  • Understanding and utilising customer data on SalesForce and generated by email marketing campaigns
  • Providing prospects with information on the company’s portfolio of products and services
  • Managing your own diary for follow up calls
  • Entering and maintaining accurate information onto Salesforce
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed daily call targets and KPI’s of lead conversion to opportunities

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist with the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Previous experience in the financial services industry an advantage
  • Demonstrable success in B2B telesales, telemarketing or tele-research roles
  • Experienced in calling professional corporate /organisations
  • Effective in exposing prospects’ key business drivers and matching these to company capabilities
  • Have sufficient analytical experience to complete research that identifies relevant information on prospective customers
  • Commercially minded with experience of working to achieve targets
  • Experience of working with contact databases (CRM systems)
  • Understanding of marketing channels for lead generation e.g. digital and web, marketing, direct response and social media
  • Professional phone manner with a consultative approach and tone of voice
  • Strong listening skills
  • Confident in overcoming rejection and setting challenging goals daily
  • Proven computer skills essential including Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce CRM (preferable)
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual with good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work in a very busy environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills to work with employees at all levels
